Battling Anemia Symptoms
Anemia symptoms are present in millions of Americans. Anemia is a reduction in either the number of red blood cells or the amount of hemogoblin in the blood. This results in a decrease in the amount of oxygen that the blood is able to carry, and reduces the amount of oxygen to the cells of the body.
Anemia symptoms have been present in my life for quite a few years. Just recently I have made some progress that I wish to share with you on how I have maintained higher iron levels just by the way I choose to live my life now.
I eat a plant based diet high in vegetables, fruits, seeds, legumes and nuts. Some people would like to argue that you must eat meat in order to keep your iron levels in tact. I am here to tell you that this is just not true. You only get about 20 % protein from consuming animal products and you run the risk of disease. Animal protein feeds tumours, and animal protein clogs up intestinal tracks. Both very good reasons to avoid them altogether.
For me daily juicing is a wonderful way to conquer my anemia symptoms. I use carrots as my base, and add in from there lots of greens and sweet colourful beets.
Another trick for keeping my blood levels up are my “greens” powders. Such as chlorella, spirilina, magnesium and maca root. All these supplements boost my energy levels and keep my body energized!
I have been having fibroid symptoms along the way as well, and was recently disagonsed with masses of fibroids in my uterus. Of course the answer the doctors have it to take the uterus out. The answer I have it to keep eating a plant based diet and research foods that feed fibroids and eliminate them from my diet.
Eating the way I eat now, I run a much lower risk of getting disease and other such serious problems associated with a poor diet. This lifestyle just encourages me to go a step further in my journey to wellness and deal with my symptoms of anemia in a much natural way, free of drugs and surgery.
- coldness of the extremities
- overall paleness, pale lips, and eyelids
- soreness in the mouth
- brittle nails
- loss of libido
- feeling of breathing in “black tire smoke”
- craving for dirt or ice ( don't laugh at this symptom I actually craved dirt for an entire summer before being diagnosed with SEVERE anemia)
- heavy periods
Great article on chlorella
Early warning signs of low iron levels can often go unnoticed. Such as loss of appetite, constipation, headaches, irritability, and difficulty concentrating.
For me I thought my symptoms were related to stress issues, as I had recently lost my dear Mom. So I didn't pay attention to my body symptoms as best as I should or could have. This is a reminder to everyone to “listen to your body”. If you are having symptoms and changes to your health, there is a problem. Don't wait until it's to late!
Dealing with symptoms of anemia can be a struggle for everyone, but once you know what you are dealing with you can start to address the situation and start changing up your diet and lifestyle and begin the healing process required. An herb that works for me and I have continued to use it each time I get my monthly cycle is
Yellow Dock , I highly recommend this herb, as it helps naturally without any side effects from heavy bleeding. I sincerley hope that you can overcome your anemia condition as successfully as I have been able to. I can't stress the value of raw eating enough. These alive foods feed your body the necessary nutrients that you require for your optium health.
